Just Between Friends - shop, sell, save, smart!

MERCHANDISE PREP:

Please read all instructions BEFORE preparing your items

Beginning in Spring 2013, all consignors must tag all items using our online tagging and barcoding system. You can access this site through your "My Profile" page. No handwritten tags or tags with old numbers will be accepted.

With JBF, You are in control!! You set your own prices. You decide if you want it to go Half Price. You decide if you want to donate the item at the end of the sale. CLICK HERE if you would like some pricing suggestions. Please Note: ALL items must be tagged with the new UCNs. Any items brought with old consignor numbers will need to be retagged before allowed to drop off.

Here's a few helpful documents to get you started!

PREPARING AND TAGGING YOUR TABLE ITEMS (games, toys, movies, baby items, etc.)

  • Clean all items thoroughly. (Stained items will be removed from the sales floor)
  • Test to make certain that items are working properly.
  • Battery operated items must include working batteries (these can be purchased inexpensively at dollar stores).
  • Games and puzzles must include ALL pieces and be in box/plastic bag. Tape shut with clear packing tape. You may use clear plastic wrap to secure wooden puzzles with their pieces if you choose.
  • Place small parts and accessories belonging to items in Ziploc/plastic bag. Tape bag shut. Fasten bag securely to the item with clear packing tape or small zip ties. Items must include ALL parts.
  • You may group several items together (toys, rattles, puzzles, books, etc.) in a ziploc bag. Secure bag shut with clear tape.
  • Use ONLY clear packing tape to attach tags to books. Do not use scotch or masking tape.
  • Items may be placed into multiple bags and secured together with clear packing tape.
  • Multi piece items that will not fit into a bag may be attached together with zip ties.
  • NO PG13 or rated R DVD's.
  • NO VHS tapes.
  • Attach tag to item with clear packing tape, safety pin, or by punching a hole in the top of the tag and securing with ribbon.
  • Place a piece of tape on tag before punching a hole. This will reinforce the tag so that it is not easily torn off your item.
  • If selling multiple items together, include how many items on tag. (i.e. toys, rattles, puzzles, books, etc.)
  • You must check all items against the RECALL search located in the tagging site before you enter tags. Remember to save every few tagging entries to keep from loosing information. Our tagging site does not work properly in the Chrome web browser.

PREPARING AND TAGGING YOUR CLOTHING ITEMS:

  • Go through items to separate items with stains, holes, tears, missing buttons, out of season, or out of style. These items will be rejected at drop off so you don't want to waste time tagging them.
  • Match up paired items or items of the same size to pair and sell together.
  • Press any items that need it. The better they look (and smell), the better they sell!
  • Hang ALL items on a one hanger. Make sure the hanger opens to the left (makes a question mark). Use safety pins to attached items securely. If your item falls to the floor, it will get dirty and will not sell.
  • Attach all tags with safety pins to the top right hand corner.

PREPARING AND TAGGING YOUR LARGE TOYS OR BABY EQUIPMENT:

  • Thoroughly clean all items. Magic Erasers are your friend during tagging!!
  • Double check the recall lists to make sure your item has not been recalled. You can search the recalls on the tagging site or click HERE to see the JBF recall link page.
  • Type good descriptions incuding how many pieces of the item are for sale.
  • Try to ziptie all the pieces together if possible.
  • If not, tag the largest piece and list "X of X". Put the price on the main tag using the barcoding system. Type or Hand write tags withe descriptions and "X of X" on all other pieces. Do not put the price on these pieces.

PREPARING AND TAGGING YOUR MOMMY MART ITEMS:

  • Mommy Mart is for non-upholstered household furniture. Possible Mommy Mart items are dining room sets, headboards and footboards (we cannot accept mattresses), bookshelves, small tables, office chairs, desks, entertainment centers, wooden rockers or gliders (gliders may be upholstered), large pictures or mirrors, patio sets, wicker furniture.
  • Items we CANNOT accept as Mommy Mart are upholstered furnitures (sofas, chairs, etc.), appliances, artificial plants, electrical gadgets (clocks, radios, vaccuums, etc.), televisions, ect.
